Sometimes it seems that when you go to the gym or club it really is a good idea to avoid listening to everyone who talks. There are some great tips to be had from talkers at the gym but you can also inadvertently gain false or even harmful information from those who don’t really know what they are talking about. This is not unlike other situations where the talker might not know as much as you think they do. You’ll be best served by taking the advice of trained professionals. The following tips can help shed some light on truths and other information on health and fitness.
Treadmill workouts and your knees is one fitness myth that has been going around for a long time. Some believe that running on a treadmill is easier on your knees than running on a hard surface outdoors. That is a definite myth that needs to get crunched right now. Your knees suffer the full force of your weight when you are jogging or running. It does not matter what the surface may be.
Regardless of the tiny bit of give a treadmill will give you your knees are still going t take the impact of your weight. Your shoes can help absorb some of this impact.
Sweat is another subject in this series. Most people believe that sweat is indicative of hard work and a good workout. The converse seems to hold, as well. If there is no sweat happening, then they must not be working very hard. Sweat is your body’s way of cooling itself. While they may be a product of one another sweat and physical exertion are not indicative of one another.
The interesting thing is you can burn up a ton of calories and never sweat! It’s easy enough to burn calories with simple walk.
Mental horsepower is only one benefit of fitness exercises. A higher level of performance and brain power is what we are talking about.
Regular exercise has been proven to increase circulation. There is much research available that proves circulation will improve serotonin levels in the brain as well. Mental clarity is one benefit of increased serotonin levels. We think that is pretty fascinating and certainly a good thing.
No doubt you will hear all kinds of lies and a few truths about fitness in the world. Take care to research those that you choose to believe. Confirm everything you hear. Watch out for information that can cause harm if it’s wrong. Perform due diligence on everything you hear.
