Breathing Exercises for Anxiety

It is recommended that when a individual is suffering from an anxiety attack that they know breathing exercises for anxiety based on the fact that breathing is closely related to the nervous system. It is known that when a person is suffering from an anxiety that they are likely to take fast breaths that are shallow, and this is why proper breathing exercises should be used when you are suffering from an anxiety attack. Also note, breathing excercises for anxiety can also help with post traumatic stress disorder treatment.
Hyperventilating can happen if you do not know proper breathing excercises.
Standing Exercise – With your feet, stand shoulder width apart, while keeping your back straight and your body loose. Next, put your arms up and extend them out towards your sides and slowly take in breath into your bottom abdomen. Continue moving while you are breathing until they stretch above your hair. Take in a breath and hold it for a few seconds and then leisurely released as you lower your hands. This procedure should be repeated until you are feeling completely rested and relaxed, and is one of the best breathing exercises for anxiety.
Abdominal muscle breathing – By doing this exercise, you are teaching your body to take bigger breath. This exercise will make you more relaxed because you will be executing this exercise lying flat on the floor. To do this exercise you will need to utilize your abdominal muscles to expand your stomach, inflating it like a balloon. This action should be held for a few seconds before sucking in your muscles as far in as is you can. While sucking in the muscles, seize for a few minutes. This exercise should be practiced until your body is moving in the same beat as the exercise. Once you have accomplished this, coordinate your breathing to match the movement of your muscles. While doing this, inhale through your nose while pushing your stomach out and exhale through your mouth while pushing your stomach out.
Anxiety is a situation that no one can prevent. By doing the proper breathing exercises for anxiety and knowing how to do them before you have an attack, you will be better able to deal with this situation, and you will be able to get your life back under control.
