Gastritis is actually a condition caused by the swelling in the lining of the stomach. During the process of food digestion, our stomach releases acids and enzymes. Strong tea, coffee, pickles and sour things must not be used. Water should be made a very important part of the diet. Ten to twelve glasses of water must be consumed every day. Food has to be consumed at least two hours before sleep.
Give attention not to mix a lot of food items since this will make the condition worse. Moreover do not hasten while having food. Food should be consumed in regular stages as recommended my the doctor. An ideal gastritis diet should include fibers also because they improve digestion. Fruits and milk are very important for breakfast. Avoid sugar and use honey. For lunch, steamed vegetables will serve the best.
Totally avoid fats and oil. Following the midday meal, carrot juice or maybe spinach juice can be taken. During night, vegetables, fruits and green gram are the ideal ones. Snacks should be avoided. Including coconut water in the diet can help the patient a whole lot. It not only prevents the gastritis but also provides vitamins and other nutrients.
Potato juice is also an alternative. Avoid the seasoning of garlic, cinnamon and other spices as these are very effective in disturbing your stomach. The above given diet does not necessarily mean that all the tasty meals must be avoided from the diet. It only means that the food which can be easily digested must be used at the time of inflammation.
The food items like chicken, seafood, turkey and other heavy items may be used as suggested by the doctor. Alcohol may cause adverse effects on the person. So care should be taken to avoid it. Gastritis is not a disease to be afraid about. It can be avoided completely by following a complete balanced diet for gastritis rich in fruits and fibers.
