Is your bladder excessively active? Do you feel like you’re constantly getting up to go to the toilet? Have you attempted to do other things to stop these trips to the bathroom? Most people are convinced any sort of bladder activity occurs because of how much liquid we take in. This is often why a lot of people nearly dehydrate themselves in an effort to keep from having to visit the bathroom too often.
Would you believe that sometimes it is what you might be eating that may be causing you to frequently visit the restroom during the day? The simple fact is that a “number one” toilet break is just another way for your body to rid itself of waste. The waste accumulates equally through fluid and solid intakes. What you expel might be from something solid or fluid, despite which form it took when you ingested it.
While Vitamin C is important for fighting off infections, it has been confirmed that citrus fruits can irritate the bladder. This is certainly due to the fact that many citrus fruits are made up of acid and that is why they need to be avoided both as solids and as juices. The major sources of this acid tend to be pineapples (which isn’t technically a citrus fruit but is equally irritating to your system), lemons, tangerines, grapefruits and oranges. You should select bananas, apples, pears and berries to get ample Vitamin C each day.
This might seem a little bit traumatizing but if your bladder is exceedingly energetic, you shouldn’t consume a lot of chocolate. Chocolate contains caffeine. Your bladder does not enjoy it when you eat caffeine and will reward you for this intake with lots of trips to the bathroom. This is every bit as true for caffeinated liquids. If you’ve been making lots of excursions to the toilet, lay off of the caffeine both in solid and liquid form. Instead, you need to select decaf sodas in addition to coffees or dark chocolate.
Foods that have large concentrations of spiciness can also be greatly irritating to your bladder. This will probably be difficult for people who are fans of spicy foods but if you want to stay out of the bathroom you need to avoid foods that contain high levels of spiciness like wasabi sauce, super spicy nachos, etc. If the food makes your nose and eyes run it is going to help to make other areas of your body run as well. Choose less spicy variants of those foodsthat way you can get the taste without the discomfort of your bladder.
We typically are convinced if it’s liquid when it comes out it should have been liquid when it went in. This is totally not true. What comes out of our bodies is simply the aspects of what we have eaten that our bodies cannot use and it releases that extra stuff (also called waste) in whatever manner is the most convenient for it.
